The following list summarizes the steps required to recertify as a safety inspector. The process to recertify is the same if you do it through our website or at your local training center. All fees and requirements are the same.

Online Training Requirements:

  1. Purchase the online training program.
  2. Complete the training.
  3. Pass quizzes online with a minimum score of 80%.
  4. Print application.
  5. Sign and mail the application with the all fields completed and $4.50 application fee to the Utah Highway Patrol. The $4.50 application fee should be payable to "Utah Highway Patrol".
  6. The Utah Highway Patrol address is:

  7. It may take up to 6 weeks for the UHP office to process your application.
